The aim of D El Ed course is to generate required teachers for primary level for the state of Kerala. The is conducted by Director General of Education with the curriculum provided by SCERT Kerala. The curriculum for the course prepared as per the guidelines of National Curriculum Framework forTeacher Education 2009 which formed by Government of India draft created for proposing changes and updates required to the National Council for Teacher Education, an Indian government body set up under the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 (#73, 1993) in 1995.Modern Education psychology, Philosophical basis of Education and content of primary subjects and pedagogical basis of primary education is the main content for the study of the course.
